The DVD player in the SD-P5000 provides a crystal-clear picture with its enhanced digital processing. Since the display screen is directly connected to the DVD player, you get a pure digital signal from your DVDs. The SD-P5000 uses digital cinema progressive scanning (3:2 pulldown) to reproduce your DVDs in vivid, theaterlike clarity. You can take full advantage of that picture clarity with the versatile digital picture zoom option, which lets you magnify a portion of the picture onscreen while in freeze-frame mode or even while watching a DVD in real time. The feature is great for spotting details in movies or even adjusting letterboxed movies to fill your screen. The SD-P5000 also features a wide array of DVD features, including multiple angle selection, a fast-scan option that allows you to fly through DVDs, and slow-motion viewing. The SD-P5000 features 3D virtual surround sound through its built-in speakers and easy-to-connect, multichannel optical digital audio output. The player has two headphone jacks so you can share your DVD viewing with a friend. The SD-P5000 plays DVDs, DVD-Rs, and CDs, so you can enjoy all your favorite videos and music. You can also play MP3s and view digital JPEG photos from CDs created in your computer. This portable DVD player can go anywhere. The double-hinged design allows for the player to be wall-mounted as well as portable.
