Sylvania's sleek and affordable DVL700D DVD player delivers movie-viewing quality and music-listening convenience with progressive-scan video outputs for a high-definition or HD-ready TV and MP3 file playback from homemade music CDs. The player also accommodates DVD-R and DVD-RW as well as audio CD-R and CD-RW discs. Whether your living room is currently home to an HDTV or you're merely thinking of "someday," the DVL700D stands ready to deliver the full potential of DVDs. Progressive scanning, referred to as 480p for the number of horizontal lines that compose the video image, creates a picture using twice the scan lines of a conventional DVD picture, providing higher resolution and sharper images while eliminating nearly all motion artifacts. Composite- and S-video outputs ensure compatibility with nearly any television. A set of left/right analog-audio outputs channel audio to Dolby Pro Logic receivers and stereo televisions. Both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel surround-sound signals can be routed through the player's digital-audio output for direct connection to a full-featured audio/video receiver. Playback options include zoom, slow motion, 100x normal search speed, and a fluorescent display with dimming capability for lights-out home theater viewing. Supplied accessories include a composite-video/stereo analog-audio interconnect, instruction manual, and a remote control.
