Samsung's affordable, titanium-finished DVD-S221 features high-end component-video outputs, a feature called Advanced Disc Navigation to simplify setup and operation, and built-in MP3 decoding for your home-brewed CD compilations. Component-video outputs help minimize digital and line-scan artifacts on compatible advanced televisions, while composite- and S-video outputs bring compatibility with nearly any set. A set of left/right analog-audio outputs channel audio to Dolby Pro Logic receivers and stereo televisions. Both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel surround-sound signals can be routed through the player's digital-audio output for direct connection to a full-featured audio/video receiver. Other features include 10-second instant replay, motion zoom, chapter preview (which generates thumbnail images from disc chapters), music track programming, repeat and random play, and a compact "easy remote" for clear, simple operation of the player.
