The JVC XV-N412SL introduces a slim and stylish design (44 mm tall) for the "all-in-one" player that people are seeking. Not only does it play traditional CDs, but it also plays DVD-Video, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, VCD, SVCD, CD-R/RW, and MP3 formats. Don't let the slim design fool you, the XV-N412SL is packed with several exciting features, such as digital direct progressive scan, a video fine processor with seven-step picture adjustment, JPEG digital still playback with 11 visual effects, an A/V computer link, WMA playback, six-step playback zoom, and disc memory that lets you bookmark your place in a disc. The device also offers 12-bit/108 MHz video digital-to-analog (DAC) conversion and 192k, 24-bit high-quality audio DAC. Additional features include variable search/slow motion, one-touch replay, 3-D phonic simulated surround sound, a high-resolution graphical user interface (GUI), optical and coaxial digital outputs, and a full-function remote control.
