Whether you're traveling cross-country or want to show your DVDs at a friend's house across town, the Mintek MDP-1720 portable DVD player is an all-in-one, easy-to-carry entertainment solution with a slim profile (it's less than an inch thick). It plays DVDs, Video CDs (VCDs), CDs (including recordable and rewriteable CDs), MP3 discs, and Kodak Picture CDs, and features a bright, 7-inch TFT (active-matrix) color LCD display in 16:9 widescreen format. It can be connected to a television, and when connected to a compatible audio system can bring the soundtrack to life with Dolby Digital audio. Designed for easy use on the road, the MDP-1720 includes a high-capacity rechargeable lithium battery pack and has a built-in antishock system that helps prevent annoying interruptions. It features both built-in stereo speakers and a headphone jack for private listening (headphones not included), as well as a wireless remote control for use across the room, such as when connected to a TV. With the unit connected to an amplifier, you can use it as a karaoke machine (with karaoke discs). It supports multiple audio language tracks and multilingual subtitles, and lets you select from multiple camera angles on DVDs that give you those options. Among its other key features are six-mode picture zoom, four-speed slow motion, fast forward and reverse search, chapter preview ("digest") mode, random play, and repeat play (useful for tradeshows or demonstrations). The MDP-1720 gives you S-video and composite-video output, analog stereo and optical digital (S/PDIF) audio output, and a headphone jack. What's in the Box
