The Apex PD-660S portable DVD player features a broad, 6.5-inch widescreen (16:9 aspect ratio) LCD, whose thin-film-resistor construction renders smooth, vivid images. The player offers built-in stereo speakers for headphones-free listening and compatibility with DVD-Video, VCD/SVCD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3-encoded discs, and JPEG picture CDs. Both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel surround-sound signals can be routed through the player's digital-audio output (through a coaxial digital-audio cable, not supplied) for direct connection to a full-featured audio/video receiver. Interlaced S-video and composite-video outputs simplify hookup with your home TV. The composite-video and stereo analog audio outputs are switchable as inputs so you can use the PD-660S as a monitor for a camcorder, VCR, or gaming console if you wish. Headphones are not included.
