DVD players are one of the most advanced instruments that involve science and show you that how a better application of science can change the whole picture. The quality of the screen, the resolution and all other qualities of the film or documentary and enhanced in it.
DVD players have best quality picture, as they involve digital technology, and therefore, the DVDs can store a large amount of data or information in them. Contrary to magnetic tape cassettes and other storing devices, DVDs have the edge of superior quality and more storage in area even in its compact size. But this increases the value and there are people who can't afford that much of the price; but rest assured, the IT industry is increasing volcanically and the price are going to be cheaper than ever. DVDs have other major disadvantage that if somehow a little scratch is there on the surface, it is damaged and there is no way you can rescue your data. And if you run destroyed DVDs, the reader's pointer may also get damaged. So, as all the costlier things require, they require better storage places and more careful handling.
